GunPla makes sense as more than a toy because its cultural history, polymer choices, injection-molding process, snap-fit design, assembly experience, and end-of-life problem are all connected. The same material decisions that make the kit easy to build also create the runner waste that Bandai now has to recover through recycling programs.
